It started with her mom's makeup bag.
At 9 years old, April discovered something that would shape the rest of her life. She didn’t know it then — she just knew that the moment she started playing with makeup, it felt like home.
That instinct turned into a gift. That gift turned into a career. And that career has now spanned more than 20 years in the cosmetic and bridal industry.
More than Two decades behind the chair — and in the business.
Over the years, April has had the privilege of serving brides through some of the most meaningful moments of their lives — engagement shoots, wedding days, maternity sessions, and beyond. For her, beauty has never just been about makeup. It has always been about connection, confidence, and being present for moments that matter.
Many of her brides have become like family. That depth of care has shaped everything about how she works — and how she teaches.
In 2005, April launched **FBA Cosmetics** — her own product line built around a vision of long-wearing, flawless, weightless formulas that were accessible for everyday women and working artists alike. Building her own brand gave her something most coaches don’t have: firsthand experience as both a makeup artist *and* a business owner.
She has created, grown, marketed, served, and sustained a beauty business over the long haul. She knows what it actually takes.
Based in **Fort Lauderdale, Florida**, April has traveled throughout the state — including the Florida Keys — providing mobile bridal beauty services. That field experience, combined with two decades of business ownership, gives her a real-world perspective that speaks directly to the challenges wedding artists face every day.
