Stop Operating Blind. Build the Business Plan That Fits on One Page.
Five questions. Thirty minutes. More clarity than most artists ever get about where their business is going — and what it actually needs.
Most makeup artists skip the business plan completely.
Then they wonder why things feel chaotic. Why income is inconsistent. Why they hit a full calendar in spring and then go two months without an inquiry in fall. Why they are working constantly but not getting ahead.
The answer is almost always the same: they never made decisions in advance. They are reacting to everything instead of running something.
A business plan does not have to be 40 pages. It does not require financial projections or a market analysis. What it requires is clarity — five specific questions, answered honestly, written down, and reviewed every 90 days.
That is what this template gives you.

WHAT'S INSIDE
Who do I serve and what do I offer?
Your niche, your service menu with actual rates, and your ideal client. The clearer you are here, the easier everything else becomes.
What does my pricing structure look like?
Not "am I charging enough" — the structure. Deposit percentage, travel fee, minimum booking, final balance due date. Written down. Committed to.
How do I get clients?
Where your bookings actually come from — with percentages — and a written-out follow-up process for when someone inquires. "I post on Instagram" is not a strategy. This forces you to go deeper.
What systems does my business run on?
A full audit of your backend: contract, invoices, booking confirmation, inquiry response, payment tracking, client communication. Rate each one — working, needs work, or does not exist. Then pick the one you will fix in the next 30 days.
What does my income goal require?
The backward math. Annual goal ÷ 12 = monthly target. Monthly target ÷ average service value = services needed per month. Most artists have never done this. It either confirms you are on track or shows you exactly what needs to change.

You say "I want to make more money" but do not have a specific plan attached to that
You are trying to go full-time but do not know what that actually requires from your business
You have been operating on instinct and are ready to operate on intention
